Assignment 2--More Poetry Stuff --Due Date: We'll see...
The idea here is to get some more practice with poetic devices--this time with a (more) modern song--"Lose Yourself" by Eminem. If there is a different song ( you would like to examine the poetic devices of, that's fine too (Like "Halo" for instance.). Try to find as many poetic devices as you can and explain why they are good examples. You must answer the questions this time. Please email me the assignment.
Thanks!

Assignment 3--
Summary: Looking to answer questions about a series of poems (to help you with making your own poem later--the final assignment for poetry.)
There are several poems here--you will need to answer the questions beneath each poem. If you are having difficulty--just email me. Please watch the video below to help you. The first part on literary terms should be review by now, but the other information is key.
So...
1 Watch the video and take notes on new terms--you will need to understand this when you make your own poem (there will be choices) and to review your poetic devices. Making your own poem will be the NEXT assignment (after completing the questions on this one).
2. Read the two attached poetry files and answer the questions at the bottom of each poem. This is quite a lot of work and is the main part of the poetry unit.
Remember to watch the whole video--the terms later are important too!

I have also included a video of conflict--remember to think about what kind of conflict you are illustrating (showing) in your story!!

Help With Script Writing
Hi! Some of you may choose the script writing for your final assignment. In that case, I have some examples here for you and a very short video to remind you of what we have gone over in class. Read through the examples--you should try to take one of the comic strips/dialogues and attempt to "script it out". You can then check out the example below of "Frankenstein" to assist you in making your script. Always keep the "sample-screenplay" in mind when you are putting the script to paper/word document.
